Job Summary:
The Loan Support and Documentation position will assist Lenders on maintaining current and accurate loan documents. This position will perform loan processing, closing, set-up responsibilities as well as follow up with Participation Banks. The Loan Support & Documentation position will be expected to have a good understanding of the functional area so they may operate proficiently by performing the following duties.

Duties:
·         Perform full range of duties pertaining to the loan processing/closing/servicing function.

·         Review files prior to and after loan closing to ensure documents and disbursements are prepared accurately for each loan closing.

·         Book and fund participation & sold loans with various banks.

·         Process all participation & sold loan advances/payments.

·         Maintain all spreadsheets & tickler systems within the Loan Support Department.

·         Monitor and update participation credit displays for credit line changes and loan risk ratings.

·         Maintain spreadsheets for all financial statements and tax returns for participation loans.

·         Contact participation banks as needed for documents, payment/advance inquiries, and questions.

·         File all corresponding draw packets for participation loans.

·         Contact parties outside the bank as required, (i.e.: abstractors, appraisers, county officials, insurance agents, attorneys, real estate agents, etc.) acting on behalf of the bank.

·         Answer participation banks inquiries and perform research if applicable.

·         Check back consumer, specialty, commercial, commercial real estate, ag, and ag real estate loans.

·         Process all extensions, modifications, and change in terms for participation loans.

·         Pull credit reports and flood certificates as requested by loan officer for in-house customers.

·         Process charge offs, partially charged off, and non-accrual participation loans.

·         Reconcile our participation checking account.

·         Scan & index loan documents in Synergy.

·         Use Business Manager system to fund accounts receivable and process payments.

·         Synergy and 4|sight web research for loan customers.

·         Assist loan officers with various loan document preparation.

·         Handle customer inquiries and payoff requests.

·         Handle multiple tasks in an accurate and timely manner.

Other Duties:

·         Reconcile GLs, mail notices for advances, past due, rate changes & process reports.

·         Process loan payments/advances for in-house customers.

·         Book and fund consumer, specialty, commercial, commercial real estate, ag, and ag real estate loans.

·         Floor plan booking and billing.

·         Process/track titles & UCCs for in-house loans.

·         Track insurance for all loans.

·         Loan denials.

·         Cure notices.

·         Order coupon books.

·         Process UMB and Fed.

·         Credit reporting.

·         Process maintenance on in-house loans.

·         Check back file maintenance performed by co-workers.

·         Create and maintain consumer, specialty, commercial, commercial real estate, ag, ag real estate, and participation files for compliance.

·         Forward collateral documents to the appropriate government office to be recorded.

·         Monitor and update all in-house credit displays for credit line changes and loan risk ratings.

·         Prepare closing cost letters.

·         Prepare mortgage releases and release other collateral, if necessary, for commercial, commercial real estate, ag and ag real estate loans.

·         Filing all loan documents as needed.

·         Prepare loan documents in LaserPro for consumer, commercial, commercial real estate, ag, and ag real estate loans as requested by loan officers.

·         Mail out paid off notes.

·         Follow up to ensure proper recording of said lien(s).

·         Reconcile commercial and ag real estate closing cost checking account & legal fees checking account.

·         CRA tracking/address changes.

·         Check back all imaged loan documents in Synergy performed by co-workers.

·         All other duties as assigned.

Education and Qualifications:
·         Completion of a high school degree or equivalent to a high school degree.

·         Banking experience preferred, but not required.

Mathematics – Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure and ability to compute rate, ratio and percent is required.

Sales and Marketing – Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.

Technical Skills – Requires a basic understanding of how to operate basic Microsoft PC software and be proficient in Word and Excel.  Must be competent in internet usage and be able to use the PC to gather information from core systems. Solid understanding of electronic banking processes and terminologies is helpful.  Possess good typing and written communication skills.

Law and Government – Knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, agency rules, and the democratic political process.

Administrative – Able to handle multiple tasks and meet required deadlines.  This position requires strong organizational skills as well as good verbal and written communication skills.  Must be a good listener and be able to follow directions.  Must handle all customer and company information in a confidential manner. Be punctual in the job responsibilities.

Adaptability – Able to adjust quickly to different work situations; remain composed under pressure and in stressful situations.  Must exercise independent judgment under moderate supervision.
